The monetary base amounted to 404 bln 561 mln drams or about 1 bln 312 mln 231.5 thousand drams as of April 30, 2008, growing by 23 bln 739 mln drams or 6.2% on the previous month. According to preliminary data transferred by the Central Bank of Armenia to the RA National Statistical Service, broad money made 692 bln 400 mln drams as of April 30, 2008, growing by 13 bln 742 mln drams or 2% as compared with the previous month. The balance of the population's deposits with banks made 192.3 mln drams as of April 30, 2008, increasing by 3 bln 668 mln drams or 1.9% on the previous month and by 61 bln 773 mln drams or 47.3% on the same period of 2007.
