YEREVAN, MAY 26, NOYAN TAPAN. A strong wind and hail at about 3:30 pm on May 26 damaged sown areas and orchards in several villages of Talin region (Aragatsotn marz). Hailstones reached 7 mm in diameter in the villages of Katnaghbyur, Davtashen, Shgharshik and Garanahovit. The wind uprooted huge walnut and apricot trees and blew down many roofs in the Ashnak village. The regional administration set up a commission to assess the amount of damage. In all likelihood the information on damage will be provided to the regional governor on May 27.
