YEREVAN, MAY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. A consultation on creation of the Financial Monitoring Center (FMC) - a body for the fight against money laundering and terrorism financing in the NKR - will be conducted in Stepanakert on May 15. NT was informed by the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) that the consultation will take place under the program of CBA's assistance to the NKR authorities in the introduction of the system of fight against money laundering and terrorism financing in the NKR. A delegation of the CBA FMC will be in Nagorno Karabakh on May 14-16 in order to participate in the consultation. Thanks to the technical assistance provided by the CBA FMC to the NKR authorities, the NKR Law on Fight against Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing was passed on December 26, 2007. The law took effect on April 9, 2008.
