As of December 31, 2007, the monetary base made 427 bln 118 mln drams (about 1 bln 248.6 mln USD) in Armenia, growing by 53 bln 55 mln drams or 14.2% as compared with the previous month. According to preliminary data transferred by the Central Bank of Armenia to the RA National Statistical Service, broad money made 691 bln 343 mln drams as of December 31, 2007, growing by 39 bln 709 mln drams or 6.1% as compared with the previous month. The balance of the population's deposits with banks made 173 bln 45 mln drams as of December 31, 2007, growing by 10 bln 519 mln drams or 6.5% as compared with the previous month and by 51 bln 124 mln drams or 41.9% in a year.
