STOCKHOLM, FEBRUARY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. Sortition of the qualification stage of the 2009 Europe youth football championship took place in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, on February 13. The youth team of Armenia is involved in the 2nd group where its rivals are teams of Czechia, Ukraine, Turkey and Liechtenstein. 51 teams are involved in 10 groups from 52 UEFA member countries. Andorra did not present a claim, and Swedish football players are free of preliminary stage tournaments as representatives of the organizer country. It is envisaged to hold meetings of the group tournaments on the eve of the national teams' games.
