On July 14, during the meeting Yerevan mayor Karen Karapetyan and French Development Agency (AFD) Assistant director Jaques Moineville discussed issues on possible cooperation. Presenting the main directions of the development of the capital Karen Karapetyan underlined that the City Hall is open and ready for long-term mutually beneficial cooperation. Jaques Moineville presented the directions of the activity of the agency, noting that it is based both on financing and long-term partnership. As a state institution French development agency carries out programs with the capitals and cities of a number of countries in the fields of water supply, electricity supply, public transport, etc. The sides discussed the financial assistance by French company to the "Yerevan Jur" company, the perspectives of the development of public transport and possible cooperation in other fields and they both mentioned that the real basis of the cooperation exists. As a result of experimental studies soon the concrete program will be offered.
