YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, NOYAN TAPAN. Work on initial registration of lands in the administrative areas of all Armenian communities and outside these areas has been completed. During this process, the availability of the community's land fund by its purpose, property subjects and land types was clarified. The country's land balance developed in accordance with the new requirements has been submitted for the government's approval. By the report of the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre presented to the RA prime minister on January 23, in 2006, the geodetic work was completed, thanks to which the new geodetic network of the World Geodetic System (WGS-84) was created and introduced in the territory of Armenia. Last year the property tax bases were continued to be replenished, with about 71,900 buildings and constructions being evaluated. According to the Committee Chairman Manuk Vardanian, in 2006, the "geography" of the real estate market changed on the previous year: the number of deals on real estate is increasing in marzes compared with Yerevan year by year. The transfer of state land in the administrative borders of 916 Armenian communities to these communities with the right of gratuitous ownership finished. The work on description of these communities' administrartive borders was also completed, the temporary schemes of land use in 74 communities were submitted to the government.
