YEREVAN, JANUARY 30, NOYAN TAPAN. 61614 citizens (among them 14900 people for the first time) were examined at the RA Medical Social Examination Agency during 2005. 60879 of those people were recognized invalid. According to the brief information of the Department on Invalids and Old People's Problems of the Ministry, about 7000 invalids got prosthetic-orthopaedic assistance the last year. The rehabilitation treatment of invalids was implemented at the "ARTMED" medical rehabilitation and "Stress" centers where 700 people were treated within the framework of the state order only by the Ministry's claim. 970 old people and invalids are taken care at 4 boarding houses of the RA Ministry of Labour and Social Issues at present. 178 alone pesnioners went to boarding houses only in 2005.
