5 ARMENIAN WOMAN CHESS-PLAYERS TO TAKE PART IN WORLD

YEREVAN, JANUARY 20, NOYAN TAPAN. FIDE published the staff
of participants of the woman championship to be held in Russian
city of Yekaterinburg on March 10-27, 2006. Two
representatives of Armenia, grand masters Lilit Mkrtchian and
Elina Danielian, who gained that right with the results
demostrated in the Europe championship, will take part in the
championship.
Besides them, 3 more Armenian woman chess-players, grand
master Elmira Skripchenko (France), an international master
Natalia Khudgarian (Canada) and FIDE master Tatev Abrahamian
(USA), will also take part in the championship.
64 woman chess-players will take part in the World
championship held by the "knock-out" contest rules.
