Certain areas within the administrative boundaries of the Aragatsotn region have been recognized as being of public interest.
The government has proposed an investment program for the North-South road corridor – recognizing certain areas within the administrative boundaries of Aragatsotn Province as having public interest under Program 2. The reconstruction project for the 34 km section of Ashtarak-Talin is underway within the framework of the North-South road corridor investment program - Program 2.

According to the justification, works have been carried out on a road section with a total length of 34 km, including 9 intersections, 19 T-shaped junctions, 4 bridges, 6 agricultural machinery crossings, as well as a drainage system, including the construction of 49 reinforced concrete drainage pipes. Works have also been completed for the installation of the furnishing and lighting system of the reconstructed road section. Additionally, construction works have been carried out for approximately 11.6 km of field (secondary) roads leading from the main road to adjacent plots.

The decision proposes to recognize the affected areas of a total of 135 plots located in the settlements of Ujan, Kosh, Aruch in Aragatsotn Province, the settlement of Shamiram in the Shamiram community, and the settlements of Nerkhin Bazmaberd, N. Sasnaashen, Verin Sasnaashen, Katnaghbyur, Davtashen, Yeghnik, and Talin in the Talin community as having public interest and to establish their expropriation zone. The deadline for starting the expropriation process has been set for April 1, 2027. As a result, in accordance with the law, the necessary areas to ensure access to the affected plots will be expropriated with preliminary equivalent compensation, ensuring the smooth progress of the program and the normal functioning of the affected communities.
