At the instruction of the Human Rights Defender, representatives of the Defender's Office's Department for the Prevention of Torture and Inhumane Treatment (National Preventive Mechanism) and the Department for the Protection of Rights in the Criminal Justice Sector conducted an unannounced monitoring visit to the "Goris" penitentiary of the Ministry of Justice and the detention facility of the Goris division of the RA Police's Criminal Investigation Department.
