Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has introduced the newly appointed Minister of High-Tech Industry, Davit Tadevosyan, to the staff of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry.

The Prime Minister thanked Mkhitar Hayrapetyan for his service as Minister of High-Tech Industry and noted that the technology sector has been developing in Armenia for a long time. “But I must also say that the developments of the past year are particularly significant for Armenia, because we now have more and more opportunities to engage with the latest technologies and artificial intelligence. Of course, a lot of work has been done; now there is an infrastructure in Armenia that just a few years ago could have seemed difficult to implement,” said the Prime Minister.

The head of state mentioned the supercomputer center of Yerevan State University, the “ELEVATE AI” artificial intelligence factory, and the artificial intelligence factory that will soon be launched by Firebird company. According to Nikol Pashinyan, keeping pace with technology is one of the Government's most important tasks. “But in this regard, we must also be attentive and engaged in the global debates that are taking place regarding technologies, with the understanding that we must do everything to ensure that the introduction of technologies does not reduce people's opportunities to work and earn, but rather makes it as easy and efficient as possible,” said the Prime Minister, adding that the government has a rather busy agenda in the field of technology. “Of course, there are many serious and long-term issues here that create the need for management, planning, and decision-making, but this is the upcoming working agenda that we will address in the context of discussing and adopting the Government's program draft,” said Nikol Pashinyan.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan thanked the Prime Minister for trusting him with the position of Minister of High-Tech Industry and added that he perceives it as an exceptional opportunity to serve the state. The former minister expressed confidence that Davit Tadevosyan will succeed in the ministerial position, considering his knowledge and experience, and expressed his support in this endeavor.

In turn, the newly appointed minister Davit Tadevosyan thanked the Prime Minister for the trust and the opportunity given to him. “I take on this position fully aware that everything has a beginning and an end. I will try to apply maximum effort to leave this position to the next minister with a sense of pride and a feeling of a job well done,” said the minister.
